Thomas S. Leslie, MD

Dr. Tom Leslie (Dr. Tom) earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Central Arkansas in 1973. He then went to medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he graduated in 1979. He successfully completed a flexible internship at St. Vincents Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Immediately following the internship, he began practicing in Harrison.

In 1980, Dr. Thomas Leslie started practicing in northern Arkansas. His grandfather, Joe Orchard Leslie, and his great-grandfather, John Wiley Simpson Leslie, were also doctors in northern Arkansas, specifically in the towns of St. Joe and Marshall. The town of Leslie, Arkansas, was named after his great-great grandfather, Samuel Leslie. But it was his grandmother, Sophie, who planted the seed to engage in the most honorable privilege he could ever pursue: to take care of people and to become a doctor.

Dr. Leslie’s success is attributed to his understanding of the importance of being available. He has cared for multiple generations of families, including children and grandchildren of his grandfather’s practice. It is important to him to care for patients as he would care for his own family, and that philosophy extends throughout the clinic providers and staff. Dr. Leslie’s vast relationships with specialists across multiple disciplines ensures his patients are referred to the most qualified and caring providers. Read More
